Overview
Neimr ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our collaborative name-finding application.
Information We Collect
Neimr collects the following information to provide our services:
Account Information
- When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and optionally your name and email (if you choose to share them)
- We create an anonymous account identifier to sync your data across devices
Usage Data
- Names you've swiped on (liked, disliked, super-liked)
- Survey/session data you create
- Matches with your partner or collaborators
- Favorite names you've saved
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the name matching and collaboration features
- Sync your data across your devices
- Show you matches with your partner
- Improve the app experience
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Firebase Cloud Firestore:
- Survey and swipe data is associated with your anonymous user ID
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure users can only access their own data
Analytics and Crash Reporting
To improve the app experience, we use the following services:
Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage patterns. This includes:
- Feature usage statistics (anonymized)
- App launch frequency
- Screen views and user flows
- Device type and OS version
This data is anonymized and aggregated. We cannot identify individual users from this information.
Firebase Crashlytics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix app crashes. When the app crashes, it may send:
- Device model and OS version
- App version
- Crash stack traces
- Anonymous installation UUID
In-App Purchases
Neimr offers premium features through subscriptions. Purchase processing is handled by:
- Apple App Store for all transactions
- RevenueCat for subscription management
We don't store payment information. All transactions are processed securely by Apple and RevenueCat.
Sharing with Partners
Neimr's core feature is sharing name surveys with partners or friends:
- When you share a survey via link or code, collaborators can join and swipe on names
- Matches (names you both liked) are visible to all participants
- You control who can join your surveys
- You can remove participants from your surveys at any time
Third-Party Services
Neimr uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase - Authentication, data storage, analytics, and crash reporting
- RevenueCat - Subscription management
Children's Privacy
Neimr is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
Your Rights
You have control over your data:
- Delete your account and all associated data from within the app
- Export your favorite names
- Leave any survey you've joined
- Disable analytics collection in your device settings
Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- Your profile and swipe data are permanently deleted
- Surveys you created are deleted
- Your participation in others' surveys is removed
Data Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your information:
- All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
- Data at rest is encrypted in Firebase
- We follow security best practices for authentication
- Access to production systems is restricted and logged
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
