How do I set up app blocking?

To start blocking apps with GraceLock:

1. Open GraceLock and complete the onboarding
2. When prompted, grant Screen Time permissions
3. Select the apps you want to block from the app picker
4. GraceLock will now show a prayer screen when you try to open those apps

Why does GraceLock need Screen Time permissions?

GraceLock uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to block apps and show the prayer screen. These permissions are required for the app to function. Your data stays private - we cannot see which specific apps you block due to Apple's privacy design.

How do I unlock a blocked app?

When you try to open a blocked app:

1. A prayer screen will appear
2. Read the prayer and take a moment to reflect
3. Tap "I've Prayed" when you've completed your prayer
4. The app will unlock for that session

How do I add or remove blocked apps?

To manage your blocked apps:

1. Open GraceLock
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap "Manage Blocked Apps"
4. Add or remove apps from the list

Note: Free users can block up to 3 apps. Premium subscribers can block unlimited apps.

How do I restore my subscription?

If you've previously subscribed to GraceLock Premium:

1. Go to Settings in GraceLock
2. Tap "Restore Purchases"
3. Sign in with the same Apple ID you used for the subscription
4. Your premium features will be restored automatically

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap "Subscriptions"
4. Find GraceLock and tap it
5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

You must cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid being charged for the next period. After cancellation, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.

Premium subscribers get access to:

• Unlimited app blocking (free: 3 apps)

How do prayer streaks work?

Your prayer streak tracks consecutive days of completing prayers:

• Complete at least one prayer per day to maintain your streak
• View your streak on the home screen
• Premium users can see a full calendar view of their prayer history

Can I write my own prayers?

The prayer journal feature (Premium) lets you write personal reflections and prayers. Custom prayer prompts for the unlock screen are planned for a future update.

Troubleshooting

App blocking isn't working

If apps aren't being blocked:

1. Check that Screen Time permissions are granted in iOS Settings
2. Verify the apps are selected in GraceLock's blocked apps list
3. Force quit GraceLock and reopen it
4. Restart your device
5. If issues persist, try removing and re-adding the apps to block

The app is crashing

Try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Force quit the app and restart it
2. Restart your device
3. Check for app updates in the App Store
4. Ensure you have enough storage space
5. If issues persist, contact support with your device model and iOS version

Screen Time permission issues

If you're having trouble with Screen Time permissions:

1. Go to iOS Settings > Screen Time
2. Ensure Screen Time is enabled
3. Check that GraceLock has the necessary permissions
4. If needed, you can reset Screen Time settings and set up GraceLock again

GraceLock Premium is available as an auto-renewable subscription:

• Weekly: $6.99/week
• Yearly: $39.99/year (includes 7-day free trial)

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
